The Roberto Ferrari competition came to an entertaining end as Brescia defeated Virtus Bologna 101-96 after a fierce battle. Miro Bilan was the standout player for Brescia, scoring 28 points to lead his team to triumph.
His performance was crucial, helping Brescia maintain control during the game’s decisive moments. Jason Burnell, who added 19 points, further bolstered Brescia’s offensive efforts.
Demetre Rivers also contributed significantly with 17 points, while Amedeo Della Valle chipped in 14 to secure Brescia’s win. Virtus Bologna entered the match without key players like Tornike Shengelia, Isaia Cordinier, and Matt Morgan.
Despite these absences, Virtus managed to keep the game close, thanks to solid performances from Will Clyburn, who led the team with 18 points. Rayjon Tucker and Ante Zizic supported with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
However, Virtus’s lack of critical players proved to be a challenge it couldn’t fully overcome. With Bilan’s dominance in the paint and a well-rounded team effort, Brescia capitalized on this.
The victory marked Brescia’s strong preseason performance, building momentum for the season ahead. Virtus Bologna will now prepare for their upcoming match against Olympiacos Piraeus at the Heraklion Cup in Greece.
