Saudi Arabia – August 27, 2024 – Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made headlines, revealing crucial details about his future in the sport. As speculation swirls around his potential exit from Al-Nassr, the Portuguese superstar has clarified his plans with his club and the national team.
In a candid interview with Portuguese TV channel NOW, the 39-year-old forward expressed his satisfaction with life in Saudi Arabia and hinted at the possibility of ending his illustrious career at Al-Nassr. “I may retire soon, in two or three years, but probably I will retire at Al-Nassr. I’m thrilled at this club and feel good in this country, too,” Ronaldo shared, underscoring his contentment in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr in January 2023 has been spectacular. In 67 appearances for the club, he has scored 61 goals and provided 16 assists, continuing to showcase the form that made him one of the greatest players of all time. Despite his advancing age, Cristiano Ronaldo remains a key player, contributing significantly to Al-Nassr’s successes on the field.
However, when it comes to his future with the Portuguese national team, Ronaldo has a different perspective. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner insisted that he does not want a grand farewell tour. “When I leave the national team, I won’t tell anyone beforehand, and it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but also a well-thought-out one,” he explained.
