Four Manchester City players in FIFPRO World XI 2024.

Four Manchester City players have been honoured with spots in the 2024 FIFPRO Men’s World XI, cementing their dominance in global football.

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk is the fifth Premier League representative in the star-studded lineup, which Real Madrid players complete. Lionel Messi, who moved to Inter Miami in July 2023, is missing from the World XI for the first time since 2006.

Forward Line of the Year

The forward trio for 2024 includes Manchester City’s Erling Haaland alongside Real Madrid stars Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid from Paris St-Germain during the summer, continues to shine on the international stage and in club football.

Jude Bellingham Tops the Votes

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham led the voting, receiving 11,176 selections from professional footballers worldwide. The 21-year-old England midfielder has had a remarkable season, helping Real Madrid secure La Liga and Champions League titles.

Bellingham is joined by his Real Madrid teammates Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Vinicius Jr., and Toni Kroos. Kroos concluded his illustrious career by retiring after Germany’s campaign at Euro 2024.

Manchester City’s Achievements

Manchester City’s players—Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson, and Ballon d’Or winner Rodri—earned their spots after leading the team to a fourth consecutive Premier League title. Rodri and Carvajal added Euro 2024 winners’ medals to their collections with Spain.
