New Delhi, 28 August 2024—Hockey India has announced its 18-member squad for the Asian Champions Trophy, which will take place in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, China, from September 8th to 17th, 2024. The tournament will see top hockey teams from Asia, including Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan, and hosts China, compete for the prestigious title.

Leading drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh will captain the Indian team, while seasoned midfielder Vivek Sagar Prasad will be vice-captain. This leadership duo is expected to provide tactical insight and dynamic play on the field.

Krishan Bahadur Pathak and Suraj Karkera will handle the goalkeeping duties. They will be supported by a solid defensive lineup featuring Jarmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Harmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, and Sumit. India’s campaign will start on September 8th against China, followed by matches against Japan on September 9th, Malaysia on September 11th, and Korea on September 12th.
